With the goal of helping young people to focus on healthy choices through addictions awareness, the Elks and Royal Purple of Canada promote and support this national contest. We believe encouraging Canadian youth to express themselves on addictions awareness topics is an excellent way to reinforce positive choices. Principals, health officials, teachers and other youth leaders are asked to encourage young people to participate in this contest beginning with the local level of competition. Where possible, please display, share and promote the essays, posters and videos during National/Provincial Addictions Awareness Week, held the third week of November.
